The side pocket seemed like a gimmick at first but it is actually really handy. No more digging between cushions for the remote. I keep my current book in there too.

You get two full sleeping surfaces but only one bed footprint. Perfect for small spaces. The trundle mattress sits at a good height, not too low to the ground.

The arm height and seat depth are really comfortable for sitting. Some daybeds feel too low or too shallow but this one is just right. Great for watching TV.

I did not think much about the side pocket when I ordered but now I use it every day. It holds my TV remote, reading glasses, and phone charger. Small detail but so convenient.
